Block 4.02, Poundbury
The Poundbury development on the edge of Dorchester, Dorset, is an on-going project sponsored by HRH Prince of Wales and designed by Leon Krier.
The design of individual buildings and sections is being carried out by a variety of architects, and urban block 4. 02 was designed as part of the process. The corner tower (unfortunately built differently to the original drawings) concludes one of the principal axis of the development.
The block consists of a mix of houses and apartment buildings with a total of approximately thirty units. The materials are a mix of brick and render to reflect the local vernacular Dorset style.
